The 5150 Standard features a modified Strat®-style basswood body with a deeper top body curvature.  The bolt-on, graphite-reinforced maple neck features a comfortable modified "C" profile, hand-polished satin back finish, truss rod adjustment on the heel, and matching "field hockey stick" headstock with EVH® logo decal.  Built for smooth and fast playability, the 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and cream inlays.

This 5150 features an HH pickup configuration controlled by a three-way toggle switch. The custom-designed EVH® Wolfgang® Alnico 2 bridge humbucking pickup delivers the perfect amount of punch and articulation with sweet sustain and thick, thick rhythms in a perfectly balanced EQ curve. 

The EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 neck humbucker pickup delivers no-frills, infinite sustain overdrive without skimping on articulate cleans when the volume is turned down.  A custom-designed low-friction volume knob creates an even volume adjustment, while the high-friction tone knob will stay in place. A new added feature is a lower kill switch, allowing you to mute your guitar sound for those rhythmic effects.

Equipped with an EVH-certified "dive-bomb" Floyd Rose® bridge, the locking tailpiece features fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D-Tuna® to switch back and forth between drop-D and standard tuning in an instant.
