Bourgeois Banjo Killer Slope D
Placing you squarely at the front of the mix.
The name Banjo Killer was coined by Bryan Sutton for his six-stringed onstage sidekick, back in the day when he burst onto the bluegrass scene in the late 1990s. Featuring a double scalloped X brace design, stiffer back bracing and a 25.5” scale, the Banjo Killer’s bark is as terrifying as its bite. Bearclaw Sitka Spruce, figured Mahogany and our distinctive “snakehead” headstock round out an otherwise understated aesthetic presentation.
Bear Claw Sitka Spruce
Bear Claw Sitka Spruce features visually stunning figure, and is chosen for its incredible strenght to weight ratio providing you with a guitar full of resonance and sustain.
Figured Mahogany
Mahogany contruction provides punchy tone, colored in warm woody characteristics ideal for players seeking a warm, clear tone with strong fundamental, long sustain and exceptional headroom capability.
Hand Voiced
Through extraordinary refined methods of precise brace carving and tap tuning, our process of hand voicing ensures that every guitar we make has a soundboard that is optimized for its tonal capability.
